"Best Grill I Have Ever Had" 2010-05-12
By Thomas K. Reidy
I am not sure why anybody wouldn't give this grill a 5 star rating. Incredibly sturdy and well built- there isn't anything I don't like about it. For years my friends who owned Weber grills told me I needed to stop wasting my money and buy a Weber. Last summer I had the opportunity to take charge of the grilling on a friends Weber grill on several occasions and was so impressed that I bought the E320. Consumer Reports has this grill ranked #1 in its class for a reason. The heat is evenly distributed across the large cooking surface with ample temperture control. The burner tubes run from side to side, and not from back to front. This is important if you want to slow cook a slab of baby back ribs to perfection- which I have done twice so far. One word of caution- if you have ever watched Steven Raichlen on tv- don't oil the grates with a paper towel as he demonstrates on his shows. The Weber owners manual states, "Never spray or brush oil on a hot cooking grate. Oil the food instead." Somewhat odd that he does this when he uses Weber grills exclusively. The only grill I would buy over the Weber Genesis class would be the Weber Summit class grill. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Best grill we've ever owned!" 2010-05-06

The Weber Genesis E-320 Natural Gas Grill is, without a doubt, the best grill we've ever owned. We bought this grill in July 2009 through Amazon. Here it is, nearly a year later, and we're still amazed! Not only does the grill preheat even faster than my oven, but it cooks everything to perfection. My husband is "The Grillmaster", but twice now I've made pot roast on the grill, and it turned out fantastic! You can do this because of the design of the grill. By turning off the central burner and leaving the two outer ones on, the heat goes up and over the sides and acts more like an oven. (Good to know if you have only one oven and want to use it for other things.) Also, the shields over the burners are designed so that nothing will drip into them and clog the holes. We've recommended this grill to friends and family, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one--although I have a feeling this grill will last for a long, long time.

Hope this review helps anyone who might be considering the Genesis. We absolutely love this grill!

"Love this Grill!" 2010-04-01

I researched grills for over a year and finally decided to make the investment for the Weber Genesis E320 Natural Gas Grill with the side burner. Best decesion I have ever made. I was really dreading putting the grill together, as that is not my idea of fun. What a surprise! My 13 year old son and I easily assembled the grill in 2.5 hours from the time we opened the box. That includes unpacking and putting in the final screw and attaching to the gas line and firing it up. Some had said the directions were hard to follow. We did not find that at all - there are no written instructions you simply follow the pictures and because the grill is such high quality all the parts fit perfectly and everything went together perfectly. It was actually a fun Saturday morning project with my son.

Of course the grill cooks beautifully much has already been written about that and it is all true. I had never had a grill with a side burner and thought I'd enjoy it since I'm always running in and out of the house to check on the item I have on the stove. Many people advised me I might not use it much. I have really enjoyed it and have used it every time I have grilled and even used it to cook bacon in my iron skillet so as not to make a mess and smell in the house.

Because of the control locations and the side burner - which I'm using - I do find I need a side table for plates and things, but that is what tables are for and grills and burners are for cooking.

Finally for all of you still toting propane tanks back and forth, if Natrual Gas is available go ahead and spend $150 - $200 and have a gas line run to your grill - yep it was that cheap! If you are investing in a top of the line grill why would you not do this?

This grill arrived without any damage. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. And even more amazing was the fact that all components were include and all components fitted. This grill is similar to one that I bought four years ago. I have enjoyed it and the one I recently bought was given to my son-in-law.
